The products are sold through a nationwide distributors network, which has taken notice of an increased interest in wood-aluminium windows. To meet this trend UnikFunkis decided to expand their production capacity in aluminium with a fully automatic machining centre for aluminium and wood at full lengths.

The new CNC machine can do all the workings in one processing, which is milling and cutting of the pre-painted profiles. To let the pre-painted pieces run all the way through the machine to be assembled in the end takes great care to avoid scratching the profiles in the machine.

The choice fell on an elumatec machining center with functional aluminum sawmill

The machine type is SBZ 630, which is made in Germany by machine manufacturer elumatec, a specialist in machines for aluminium processing. Last year Junget A/S became sole distributor of elumatec machines in Denmark, and as a machine supplier CEO Poul Thøgersen of Junget assesses a great potential in aluminium machining.

The new machining centre at UnikFunkis shows that the elumatec machines have what it takes for the windows industry. This machine has a sawing aggregate which can cut tilted or pivoted, which lets it cut at angles to either side or bottom rebates fast and efficiently. These functions were decisive for the choice of machine at UnikFunkis.
